From Eagle Eye Drama (The Couple Next Door, Professor T, Hotel Portofino), Patience, a six-part police crime drama set in York arrived on Channel 4 in January 2025. Starring Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and Ella Maisy Purvis (Kind of Spark, Malpractice) it became Channel 4’s most successful drama launch since 2022.
The series certainly captured the imagination of the public and media alike. There was a crop of amazing reviews across all key media outlets and Ella Maisy became an established and much-lauded new arrival on the TV drama scene.
A second series has been commissioned and will transmit in 2026.
